Bernardo Quintero, an engineer from Vélez-Málaga, has a passion for IT security and is the paradigm of a successful entrepreneur.
It all happened at the end of 2012, when the giant search engine Google acquired the company led by Quintero, Virus Total.
Virus Total, which is based in Malaga, was founded in 2008 and is dedicated to scanning URLs and files for malware free of charge.
Bernardo also provides support to the entrepreneurial spirit and self-employment through initiatives like the Bernardo Quintero Business Project Awards or Loop Venture, a project created by a group of successful entrepreneurs who invest in software start-ups.
Virus Total, which is also comprised of five other partners, has to date analyzed more than 290 million files and has multiplied its customer base and invoicing by four since it was acquired by Google.
